There are three core strands to the Baggotonia Festival: Community, Culture and Celebration.
The heart of the Community strand is to revive the creative and community Spirit of Baggotonia. This area was after all Dublin’s creative heartland, a Bohemian Corner of Dublin in the 1950s and 1960s.
Purple is the colour of creativity and imagination. We’re inviting everyone in Baggotonia to Put on their Purple, buy and wear the Baggotonia Festival Badge and show up to events to show their support.
We want to Paint Baggotonia Purple!
The Community strand will kick off with the Community Expo at St. Mary’s Parish Centre on Fri 19 Sept. Local organisations and community groups will come together with some great chances for kids and adult kids to rekindle the Spirit of Baggotonia.
The Expo will host the Baggotonia Children’s Art Expo with local school children colour the Bridges of Baggotonia - linking Baggotonia Past and Future. Closing date is Thu 11 September.
Contact community@baggotonia-festival.com to be part of the Expo. (Last few spaces available!)
And expect to see lots of Purple on Baggot Street as the schools, local businesses, restaurants and bars embrace the Spirit of Baggotonia.
